Workplace Agreements - Negotiation, Preparation and Lodgement

Workplace agreements, also known as Enterprise Bargain Agreements (EBAs) are negotiated at workplace level. Although minimum pay and employment conditions are covered by industry or occupational awards, workplace agreements and EBA’s can be tailored to suit particular organisations.

The process includes not only negotiating and coming to an agreement between employer and employee, it is also required to be drafted, explained appropriately and endorsed by employees. Following this, the agreement must then be lodged with Fair Work Australia to be approved.

Fair Work Australia provides stipulations that must be satisfied before a workplace agreement can be approved.
