As I read this, I was thinking that I wished I'd had a dollar for the times I (and no doubt my colleagues in the HR fraternity), spoke with Senior Management about appropriate behaviour at any/all work sponsored functions, including of course the Company Christmas Party.
Luckily I have broad shoulders and don't take offence to the unfortunate comments made about being a member of the 'Fun Police' or of course being called the 'Grinch'. However I do despair at comments I hear, that this [harassment] won't happen here!
As seen in the news, harassment can and sadly does happen here, there and everywhere. And whilst I'm not advocating stopping all forms of celebration, cause I'm sure companies can and no doubt do have great functions... we really must manage this better!!!
